Animal Crossing Wild World

Well, everyone is busy talking about the new movie, Confession of A Shopaholic. Not me though. Animal Crossing Wild World is a Nintendo DS game which my husband bought me at the end of March. And yes, I am addicted, I confessed!

The game is very addictive. It started with a town that I named myself at the beginning of the game. Then I met the town shopowner, Tom Nook who built a house for me to live in but I had to work for him (temporary) just to pay off my first ever mortgage. I met cute townies (cute animals) who always love to chitchat and gossip. My town has a museum, a town hall, a tailor and a town gate. After playing for 1 month, I am now a proud owner of a big mansion with 4 rooms and a living hall! The shop has now been upgraded to Nookington's (a big store similar to Harrods??) with a hair salon, Shampoodle, own by a poodle name Harriet. I can even design 8 patterns to be used on shirts, umbrellas, hats at the tailor, Able Sisters. Or even cooler use the patterns as path in my town. After a few days, I can see the townies wearing my design. That is cool, is it not?

My friends are not limited to those townies. I can play online (wifi-ing??) with other players all over the world! They can come to my town for a visit or I can go to their towns. But first I need to register their friend codes and so do they. Afterwards, I would go to the town gate and speak to Copper (the gatekeeper) to open the gate for me to wander to my friends' town or invite them to come over. So far I've been to many towns and received more than 1 visitors in my town. I always allow them to shop at Nookington's, do their hair at Shampoodle and design at Able Sisters. Not forgetting visit the townies.

Daily activities involve watering flowers, catching bugs, digging up fossils (for the museum), writing letters (and send them to the post office at the town hall) and much much more. Sometimes I do receive visitors (other than the wifi players) such as a mommy kat, Kaitlin searching for her lost kitten, Katie, Gracie Grace, the fashion designer, Lyle the insurance agent, Redd who sells rare and expensive items such as paintings and furniture, Dr Shrunk, a psychologist and a stand-up comedian and Pascal the pirate. I had such an exciting encounter with each and everyone of them.

Now that I have paid off my mansion's mortgage, I am free to spend my bells (money) on anything I want. I can have different hairstyle everyday, change clothes even ten times a day, donate to poor Boondox villagers and oh! save bells in savings account, of course. Sometimes when I help the townies with deliveries (letters or gifts) I get my rewards too. They also challenge me to catch bugs and if I do win they will give me prizes.

My mansion which is huge and roomy needs lots of furniture. I can change the decor of the mansion according to themes (regal, classic, modern, cabin, blue etc) or do mix and match. However, bear in mind that since I have became a member of Happy Room Academy, I will get points based on my style of decorating the mansion.

There are lots of stuff happening everyday and I am not going to miss any of them. But I am going to read my books for a moment, many of which I have bought but delayed reading since playing Animal Crossing Wild World. Even my friend who is a doctor worried about me playing all day "wink"
