7th Anniversary

1st September 2010 marks the 7th anniversary of my wedding to Mr Hubby. Since we are still in Ramadan month we had nothing special to eat like the usual yearly celebration. In fact I was scolded when crossing the road. That is why I still hate Malaysia (after nearly 2 months).

I was wondering whether there exist a husband who can do laundry from start to finish. From gather the clothes in a laundry bag, load the washer with clothes and detergent, run the washer, unload the washed clothes, hang them to dry in the sun, collect them from the rail, fold the clothes nicely and finally put them in the wardrobe. Same goes to cooking; starting from the ingredients, serve in the plates and clean the pots and pans. Probably it will going to take some time before a husband can get used to doing house chores if his wife died. No wonder most men married another women because they can't survive life without someone to take care of the house (I mean to cook and clean).

During Ramadan women especially married women are busy preparing dishes for berbuka and sahur. At 5 p.m. they will be in the kitchen trying to cook something extraordinary nice which are not usually cook in other months. Usually wives will wake the family for sahur with the dishes already on the table. Married women like to please their husbands and children. They don't consider it a burden so long as they can make their families happy.

I am not complaining because I already expected all these. I am not at my own house anyway. I am not doing the cooking too. I still remember Ramadan at my own place in Malaysia, UK and UAE.
