5 K Achievement

I manage to run 5 km today! The first ever in 2013. It was done in 50 minutes at the speed of 6.0 and of course with a little bit of walking along the way. Next time I should be able to run continuously and not slowing down to walk instead.

I should have taken some photos but I forgot to bring the camera along. I was inspired by stories on losing weight from the internet. There are people who lose weight without consuming any slimming products. They exercise and control their food/calories intake with strict discipline.

These are the photos I took some time later when there was no one around.

Ayam Percik

My first attempt at ayam percik Kelantan turned out well. Although the colour wasn't as white as from the internet the taste was alright. The good thing was I didn't have to do another round of cooking for dinner hahaha. On Saturday we went to Tony Roma's because hubby felt like having steak for lunch.

Last week I tried to make kuih tepung just like Opah used to make. The ingredients are flour, 1 egg, salt to taste and a little bit of tumeric powder. Mix them well in a bowl with water adjusting the thickness as you go. I put some shredded onions too. Fried in a pan with hot oil and wallah....they turned out just the way they should! Easy peasy!

I was too lazy to take pictures. Nevertheless both were delicious according to me!

Why So Serious?

I came across a status update from one of my friends saying that her kids sang a song from the famous girl group SNSD entitled The Boys.

They sang something like this:

Girls, bring all the boys out,
Boys, bring all the guns and the swords out,
Girls, bring all the Barbies and Hello Kitty out

I thought it was very funny that I laughed out loud! But then when I read one of the comments I stop. It went like this:

"wah...so violent weh. I'll never let my kids sing this"

What? For god sake it was only a song. Kids don't understand the lyrics. They just like the melody, (you fool!). Why so serious???

Apparently I messaged one other friend (how I wish I didn't) about a product from her online business. She asked me what type of vitamins that I am interested in.

I thought of saying something funny as a joke like this:

"I'm looking for vitamins that can make me look forever 33". (I even put the winking smiley like this ;))

Then she went like
"there is nothing that can make you look forever 33 but healthy like 33". She even wrote the word InsyaAllah.

I was like why so serious??? Did you not see the winking smiley at the end of my sentence???

I think these are the reasons why I do not like to have best friends. They just do not understand when to get serious and when to have fun.
