Happy 2013

I write because today is the last day of 2012. And this afternon Mr Hubby bought half a gallon of handpack Baskin Robin's ice cream with 31% off the normal price.

2012 moved very fast and I am still left with books I have not finish yet. Thinking back the Big Bad Wolf happened only at the end of 2012 so that is the reason why.

The London fan finally end its life and I cannot decide whether to put it back inside the box or just throw it away. But I have yet to dig up the Guernsey fan again from the store because I know it is still working.

Both fans bring sweet memories of my life in London and Guernsey. I was very careful with my words that I did not say anything about coming home.

I thought I can finish my Quran before 2013 comes but unfortunately my bad I am still left with 10 juzuk. I really hope I can finish the final 10 before the first quarter.

Wedding 2012

I had nasi minyak at a friend's house this afternoon. I do not know why but I feel very happy to see her parents. When her mother held my hand very tightly and smiled sweetly I felt extremely happy I did not know why. All my sadness flew out of the window. It really was the happiest feeling that very moment. I did not have the heart to curse her. Probably because I have not seen her for 10 years. I did not understand what her father was saying but I was very happy to see him too. Both were older than the last time I saw them just like Mother. Mother can be difficult at times too but I do not think I can curse her whenever I feel like it.

This friend which I have not seen face to face for years (only photos in Facebook) was not around at that time. But I don't mind. Being greeted by her mother at the gate was enough for me. I know I have not been in touch with her for a long time and I can sense that she doesn't care either. She has these BFFs of which mostly her workmates. We had been in the same class, in the same room, in the same house and in the same university but I really know that she won't even bother. Surprisingly myself included.

After thinking about it again I know why I don't mind not receiving an invitation card for the event. She invites via Facebook. I don't really want to see her or the newly weds but I want to see her parents! Now I am wondering how is makcik thuraya doing. She kissed me on both cheeks before. But I have not been in contact with her daughter too.

Can I conclude that I am not as good as a friend can be?

Time & Space

What I discovered recently was how time flies really fast when you are walking on the treadmill and dreaming at the same time. I cannot play the iPod while on the treadmill because the earphones hurt the hole of my ears (????). The best thing to do in order to avoid frustration is to dream. I dream about chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, lobster (!!!!) and animal crossing.

I tried reading before but it was too shaky on the treadmill that I did not enjoy the book. I had to reread the pages and extra time was consumed to finish a chapter. What else do I do? Enjoy the view of the petrol station and the construction site of the new housing developments!

Most of the time I am alone at the gym. That is better because I do not have to wait for other people to finish using the equipments. But most important is I do not have to use the equipment AFTER they finished. It will be wet and greasy and smelly.

The Wideacre Trilogy

I managed to get only 2 out of 3 books on Wideacre at the BBW 2012.

I hope to complete the set at the next BBW book sale.

I wonder why the BBW never had the first book from the series. One blooger also faced the same problem. Was it intentional?

BBW 2012

We were at the Big Bad Wolf book sale at the Mines last Tuesday.

These are the books that we grabbed. I had 2 Philippa Gregory's books and 1 Mark Haddon's. Damaged was controlled. Hubby spent less than $100 for all 7 books. After all he has reached the allowable limits to claim for the income tax returns.

Oh oh oh.....we had lunch at Gardens Lifestyle Store & Cafe and the Aglio Olio Spaghetti was very delicious! I did not bring a camera. This photo is from Mr Google.
