School Days

I was in a shop window shopping when I saw my old friend's husband. Then I thought she must be in the shop as well. I looked around and saw her and went straight to her and called her name. Of course she did not recognise me so I had to introduce myself. It has been a loooongg time. The last time we met was when both of us were in Primary 6. We chat a bit, met her husband and two adorable girls and we even took a we-fie (with her phone of course!)

Then she posted the photo on FB and guess what.....most of my friends from Primary 6 liked it. Then it went viral with so many comments reminiscing the good old days. I wasn't excited when one of them proposed a gathering. (because I wasn't looking forward to that hahaha)

I remember I was one of the brilliant students in class. I always got As in exams in every subjects, even Maths! I was very good in music and I played the instruments very well. I can read the music notes and count the rhythm like pro. I was very good in Penilaian Berasaskan Sekolah Rendah exams. (I think we have to sit for the exams every month, can't remember). BUT I did poorly in my UPSR. I got only 3 As and most of the brilliant students got 5 As....hhmmm I wonder why?? Well I didn't study that's why. I flipped several pages from the revision books just before entering the exam hall!

Then I moved to my mother's....new school, new friends. But I did exchange letters several times before they got lost! (well, we were busy with school and LIFE were we not?). When I was in Secondary 1,2 and 3 I was still one of the brilliant students in class. My English was very good that I got annoyed at stupid classmates that could not even converse let alone spell right. Seriously they were extremely bad at English like they didn't learn anything from Primary school. (come on guys!!!). I was very good at most of the subjects, except Maths and Arts. I always got less than 10 aggregates in monthly exams (the best aggregate nationally was 5). BUT AGAIN I did poorly in my SRP...All the good students got many A1s and I got lots of C3s so I got 10 aggregates. Despite attending tuition classes after school, AGAIN I only studied the night before the exam that's why.

I continued Secondary 4 and 5 at the same school while most of my good friends went to MRSM and Sekolah Menengah Sains. I was still one of the best students in class always got less than 10 aggregates in monthly exams and SPM trial exam. This time I was lucky. My SPM result was not bad (here I mean not good enough). I got several A1s, an A2, several C3s and one bloody C6 for geography! So I got 10 aggregates. I was so sad and so was mother. But I managed to get second placement in school because my friend got 9 aggregates hahaha.

When I was doing my 2 years A Levels I was still one of the best students in class except for Maths, as usual....So I got 2As and one bloody hell C for that Maths of course! Most of the lecturers were expecting a straight As from me and I disappointed them. I thought I studied enough but I still could not answer the Maths questions correctly thus the C.
